West Court |

![]() |
Like the other palaces Malia has a west court. The west wing of the Palace, which probably had two storeys, contained magazines, cult rooms and official apartments. This corridor extends from north to south through the West Wing of the palace. The complex of rooms off this corridor where also magazines and rooms set aside for Minoan cult practices. The Central Court for example is only slightly smaller than the main courts at Knossos and Festos. The palace is rather provincial, built of local stone and without frescoes.
